Mom Blakeman's Pull Candy

A quintessential Kentucky staple, Mom Blakeman's Candy Company was established in 1961 in Lancaster, KY by Maxine "Mom" Blakeman. Mom passed away in 1970 and the lady that had worked with her kept the goodness  going. The business has since been passed to 3 more families and each one has strived to make the candy like Mom Blakeman. The creamed pull candy is old fashioned and is said to have been Abraham Lincoln's favorite. It is cooked and poured on cold marble, put on a puller (it's a taffy), cut into pieces, placed in a warm room, packed and sealed. It's one of our favorites! (8 oz container)
